If you cannot go away from the sea, then you can climb an evacuation tower. As a last chance, you can also climb a sturdy and robust tree and can have the possibility of survival.

Grab something that floats

While you are caught in the waves, hold on to anything that floats like raft, tree, or door to keep yourself above the water level. If you are traveling in a boat, head out to the sea by facing the same direction of the sea waves.

What to do after the Tsunami?

  • Don’t step on to the floodwater as they can be deep and may have harmful debris.
  • Avoid touching any wet electrical wires or if you are in the water as there is a risk of electrocution.
  • Take a shelter once you are far away from the waves and don’t leave until you hear a message from the authorities.
  • Don’t go near any of the damaged buildings, roads, and bridges.
  • Keep an eye out for the authorities for the information on the affected areas. You can also use the radio for official updates.
  • Make communication with your friends and family through text messages or social media.

We can’t cease the natural disasters nor control them. But we can use every chance to lie in front of us to live and fight against them. To survive the Tsunami, you have to act quickly and smartly.
